Helping HSF Help Others
The largest civic contribution came from the Monroe County Government and totaled $10,500. This grant helped us provide 21 Monroe County residents with the gift of sound in 2009. Currently, the Foundation has 55 Monroe County patients, which total nine percent of our total patient load.
The Fluor Foundation has a long history of investing in communities, nonprofit organizations, and education. Since its inception in 1952, the foundation, along with Fluor Corporation, has contributed more than $125 million to projects around the world. In 2009, the Flour Foundation donated $7,500 to HSF.
Another HSF supporter is the East Tennessee Foundation (ETF). Founded in 1986, ETF is a public, nonprofit, community foundation created for the purpose of building charitable resources to make communities stronger and lives better through thoughtful giving. In 2009, ETF contributed $6,200, which purchased over 20 new hearing aids for patients.
Other HSF civic supporters include the Clayton Family Foundation, Monroe County United Way and the women of the New Providence Presbyterian Church.
