Program Eligibility
Eligibility for our hearing aid assistance program is determined by household income and extenuating personal and financial circumstances. We use the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Federal Poverty Guidelines to determine client eligibility, fees for services, and hearing aids.
Individuals whose household income falls below the poverty level pay nothing for services and receive battery assistance. Individuals whose household income falls from poverty level to 100 percent above poverty are required to pay for each visit and hearing aid, according to a sliding scale payment.
Once approved as a client of the Foundation, services include an initial hearing test and Audiological evaluation to determine loss, earmold impressions, and hearing aids. Each client is approved for three years. At the end of the three years, clients are eligible to reapply for services.
