Volunteer
If you are interested in volunteering…
What would I be doing?
Event planning
Volunteers with the Hearing and Speech Foundation have an opportunity to learn what it’s like to plan, organize and execute fundraising events, including our Ultimate Tailgate Party. We have lots of fun planning these and other events and are always looking for ideas and helping hands!
Light office work
Administrative work is ongoing in nonprofit organizations and sometimes needs a little support. If you have a few hours a week to help answer phones, enter data and help clients fill out applications, we could use you!
Hearing aid collection
Thanks to our hearing aid recycling program, we are able to off-set the costs of hearing aids for our clients. Members of the Lions Club District 12N have pitched in to help us collect aids in East Tennessee. If you can help us collect hearing aids and distribute brochures, we could use it!
Advocacy board member
Our advocacy board is our community fundraising board. This group of folks takes the lead on the overall planning of yearly fundraising events, as well as governance of local initiatives such as our hearing aid assistance and auditory therapy programs. Board members serve one three-year term with the option to renew after those years. This is a great opportunity to put your volunteer skills to work!
Raising money to support a nonprofit organization is a lot of work and would not be possible without the support of our community volunteers.
Thank you!
