As the premier Verbotonal Training Center in North America, HSF specialists showcase the Verbotonal Method’s unique use of filtered amplification and unified sensory therapy strategies that enable hearing-impaired children and adults to use their hearing primarily to develop normal speech and language.
The training program targets audiologist & hearing aid dispensers, teachers of the hearing-impaired, speech pathologists, special education teachers, and English Language Learners (ELL) teachers who have the desire to broaden their scope of knowledge to enhance hearing aid fittings, therapy services and instruction they provide to clients and students.
Our long-term goals are:
- To gain national and international recognition as a consultation, training and demonstration center that promotes the Verbotonal Method.
- To host collaborative workshops with other programs and professionals in the rapidly growing fields of aural rehabilitation and auditory perception.
- To develop a national and international marketing campaign to distribute instructional training manuals, DVDs and curricula guidelines for the Verbotonal Method.
- To offer on-site practicum and intern experiences to area college and university students in Hearing and Speech Sciences and Special Education.
